We took the lift to go up to the castle of Santa Barbara, which was our aim for the day. It was amazing, we all absolutely loved it. The fortress was built in the Middle-Ages and as it is situated on a mount, we have a wonderful view of the city. The city museum is located in several rooms of the castle and tells about the history of the region and of the building itself. There was an exhibition of old photos of Alicante which was impressive! And the mix between the ancient and the modernity of was good as well.



Nous avons pris l’ascenseur pour monter au château de Santa Barbara, qui était notre but de la journée. C’était incroyable, nous avons toutes adoré. La forteresse à été construite au Moyen-âge et comme elle est située sur un mont, la vue sur la ville est imprenable. Le musée de la ville se trouve dans différentes pièces du château et concerne l’histoire de la région et le bâtiment lui-même. Il y avait une exposition d’anciennes photos d’Alicante très impressionnante ! Et le mélange entre ancien et moderne était très bien aussi.
