As we have had a busy weekend so far, we decide not to do anything too complicated on the Sunday. Agata and I went to the museo de las Claras, beside plaza Santo Domingo. To be honest I never thought I would like it so much. We were lucky because there was a guided tour when we were there and so we learnt a lot about the history of the place. The first floor is about the foundation of the building, that is, during the Arabian period. I was really impressed by the lush garden and how it represents the Muslims’ heaven.

The second floor is about the Christian period and we can see quite a few interesting pieces belonging to the nuns: sculptures, paintings, statues… Although I found the first part more interesting, I liked the whole of the museum.



Comme nous avions eu un week-end très occupé jusque là, nous avons décidé de ne rien faire de trop compliqué le dimanche. Agata et moi sommes allées visiter le museo de las Claras, juste à côté de la place Santo Domingo. Honnêtement, je n’aurais jamais pensé qu’il me plairait autant. Nous avons eu de la chance parce qu’il y avait une visite guidée quand nous y étions et nous avons donc beaucoup appris sur l’histoire du lieu. Le premier étage est consacré à la fondation du bâtiment, c'est-à-dire à la période arabe. Le luxuriant jardin qui représente le paradis des Musulmans m’a vraiment impressionnée.

Le second étage est consacré à la période chrétienne et on peu y admirer un certain nombre de pièces appartenant aux sœurs : sculptures, peintures, statues… Bien que j’aie préféré la première partie, j’ai aimé tout le musée.
