DAY 4 – 08/09/2012 – JOUR 4

In the evening is the long-awaited Christian and Moors
parade. Agata and I decide to go early and we manage to find a good spot in the
crowd close to the river. The streets are packed and it is not long before the
celebration starts…
The experience was so amazing that I cannot find the words
to describe it. The people were organised in groups, each of them accompanied
by an orchestra. First came the Moors and then the Christians. To start with, a
few photos of the floats.
Ce soir, c’est
le défilé des Chrétiens et des Maures qui a été tant attendu. Agata et moi
décidons de nous y rendre tôt et on arrive à trouver une bonne place dans le
public, près de la rivière. Les rues sont pleines de monde et il ne faut pas
longtemps pour que la fête commence…
L’expérience
a été si incroyable que je ne trouve pas de mots pour la décrire. Les gens
étaient organisés en groupes, chacun d’entre eux accompagné par un orchestre.
Les Maures ont défilé en premier, puis les Chrétiens sont venus. Pour commencer,
quelques photos des chars.
